Pollard Memorial Library

Adult Literacy Program

The Pollard Memorial Library Adult Literacy Program offers free, confidential, private and flexibly scheduled tutoring to adults with little or no reading or writing skills, and those who wish to become more fluent English speakers, readers and writers. Our program was founded in 1982. We serve the Greater Lowell area and are affiliated with Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts and are accredited by ProLiteracy Worldwide. Our efforts are fully supported by the Pollard Memorial Library, and we receive funding assistance through federal grants and donations to our program.
