Basic classes in using our computer resources, and a few online tutorials for you try out on your own.

Class Descriptions
Please register for each program by calling 978-970-4120. Classes are held at the Pollard Memorial Library Branch Computer Lab at the Council on Aging, 276 Broadway St.
- Introduction to PCs - General overview of using a personal computer: how to turn it on and off, working with Windows...
- Mouse - Not a rodent, but a way of moving around the computer screen!
- Word Processing 1 - Learn how to create, edit, and save documents in Microsoft Word. Prerequisites: Mouse and basic typing skills
- Word Processing 2 - Learn how to use the editing features of Word, which includes the toolbar dropdown menues. Prerequisites: Mouse, Word 1, or proficient typing skills
- Internet - Learn the ins and outs of the World Wide Web. Prerequisite: Must be able to use a mouse
- IPAC - Learn how to look for books and other items in the library's online catalog.
- Email - Learn basic email features and set up a free email account. Prerequisite: Mouse and Intro. to PCs
- Lab Time - Time to practice what you've learned. This is NOT a class

- Basic Introduction to Online Catalog - Learn to find materials using our online catalog. Learn to check your library card and request items using the catalog from home, work or the library. We'll show you how easy it is! Individual appointments are available daily or on Monday evenings from 6:30-7:30. Please call Reference at 978-970-4121 for an appointment.
- Introduction to the Internet - Individual instruction available most afternoons by appointment. Please call Reference at 978-970-4121 or speak to a librarian when you visit the library to schedule a time.
